Hello Fellow Craftsmen,
First, thanks for visiting the “Learn Fine Crafts” website. It is my goal to provide quality woodworking art designs, unique crafts ideas, helpful tutorials, tips and techniques. My approach may be a little different from many other sites in the arts and crafts category. I would like to show the process I use to come up with the idea as well as the steps to achieve the finished piece. It will be a learning process for me to try to communicate that process through this website. Initially I will be using text and photos to communicate the process, but eventually I hope to use video tutorials to present my ideas and techniques to you.
I have been creating and developing modern wood art and crafts skills for about 14 years. I have a small shop at my home, nothing fancy, just some basic tools and good lighting. I believe the Internet is a great tool to learn about many things, but I find that in the area of arts and crafts there is little to help people to develop the creative ability itself. So, when you follow these tutorials I hope you not only complete the projects, but come away with a process that will help you develop your own unique and successful arts and crafts products.
